My name is Julia, I grew up in Switzerland and moved to the UK in 2017 to be with the love of my life. After living in Liverpool for two years I’ve moved to Manchester. Don’t make me pick a side!

I studied Visual Communication at uni in Zurich and have worked as a graphic designer ever since.

Unfortunately, I hit a burn-out which lead me to quit my last corporate job to have time to properly recover from it. I spent the beginning of 2023 making art and finding back to myself and once I reached the end of my savings I couldn’t get myself to go back into the corporate world. I decided to take a leap and start my own business which has been a dream of mine for many years. Since childhood I have been obsessed with stationery products so it felt only right to design and make my own.

In September 2023 I launched MellowApricotStudio with my first collection and have had the best time running my own business since! I make an effort to stick to my core values of creativity, mindfulness and sustainability with my products and will continue working on this.

The soul of my brand lies in embracing the mellowness of life itself, finding joy in the simple act of colouring, the satisfaction of effective planning, and the allure of exquisite stationery. As a one-woman enterprise, I pour my heart and soul into designing a range of products that reflect both function and aesthetics. Each piece comes with elements of mindfulness which will hopefully enrich your everyday life.

Here are a few things I love: the local flora and fauna (who would have guessed?!), languages, dancing, history and folklore, cooking and exploring new crafts.
